On January 19th, 2021, the Institute held a virtual writing workshop with the co-editors of Genocide Studies International (GSI), Professor Alex Alvarez (Northern Arizona University) and Professor Henry Theriault (Worcester State University).

 

The workshop focused on a number of aspects crucial to writing in academic journals, including: 

• Topic selection

• Publishing strategy

• Research

• Structure

With years of experience in editing, selecting, and publishing papers for academic journals, Prof. Alvarez and Prof. Theriault have an in-depth understanding of best practices for publishing academic writing. Participants had the exclusive opportunity to ask questions directly to the editors throughout the workshop.
